If you consider yourself a reasonably experienced driver you will be fine driving the more than 60 years old Citroen Traction Legère. The mustard spoon shaped gear lever might take some getting used to but take it slowly and you will succeed very quickly.
The absence of servo assistant brake and steering asks for a little more input force than what we are used to nowadays. But again: take it slow and getting used to is a real joy.
Even though you are driving a pre-war design there is no worry of causing a traffic jam. No heating on board, that was a chargeable option at the time...

History
In March 1934 the Type 7 (7CV) was presented to Citroen main dealers and caused a sensation. Integral body, front wheel drive, independent suspension all around, torsion bar suspension all around, wet liners and hydraulic brakes. In short this was a technological masterpiece when it came to mass produced cars.
In October 1934 the Citreon 11CV with 1900ccm engine was introduced.

What a great driving experience! The car looks fantastic and is very pleasant to drive. The driving is a bit brute, with loud engine, direct steering and braking (nothing with servo) and huge turning circle. Starting and shifting are a challenge, but once you've mastered those, you're cruising the streets like a king.
Only that the side mirrors constantly fold down while driving is a bit exhausting, but here I would certainly find the screw next time which one must tighten.

Ganz kurzfristig konnten wir den Citroën Légère buchen, da uns spontan nach Oldtimer war. Wer in Jacques Platz nimmt und tief einatmet riecht den Duft eines vornehmen Pariser Herrenausstatters vermischt mit etwas 98 Oktan-Benzin und Abgasen. Jacques Interieur ist herzerwärmend (was auch nötig war, da wir die Heizung nicht fanden) und die sanften Stoffe der Sitze und Türen laden zum taktilen Erlebnis ein. Dieser Französische Zeitzeuge überzeugte uns durch und durch mit komfortabler Federung und ansprechenden Fahrleistungen und meine Beifahrerin verliebte sich so sehr in die Blinker-Winker, dass wir das Fahrzeug zu zweit bedienten; meine Frau fröhlich blinkend-winkend und ich am Steuer.
Danke, rent-a-classic für diese schnelle und unkomplizierte Möglichkeit, das milde Wetter für eine Überraschungsausfahrt mit Jacques zu nutzen.
Response RaC: Thank you for the review and the comment about the missing heater! We have added "no heating" to the text in the vehicle description. The heating was an optional extra at the time (as with many other manufacturers), and the buyer of our "Jacques" did without it at the time...
