History
The Jaguar MKII, or Mark 2, was built from 1959 to 1969. Compared to its predecessor, it received several improvements, for example disc brakes on all four wheels were now standard, the window areas were enlarged and the bodywork underwent detail improvements. The manual 4-speed gearbox with overdrive could be ordered on request.
From the beginning, the MKII was very successful in various racing series, the most famous being the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), in which racing legends such as Graham Hill, Bruce McLaren and John Surtees raced the fast four-door car.
Nowadays, the fast limousines are popular racers in the starting field of historic racing events such as the Goodwood Revival or the Hockenheim Historic.

A great car. The cosmetic condition is very nice! Technically it should be better.
Unfortunately, I have to deduct a few stars. Here's why:
- Develops quite a strong petrol/exhaust smell in the interior.
- The car makes quite a lot of noise (loud whistling, grinding noises) when driving.
- The car creaks when starting off.
- The clutch had problems. (Defect as it turned out. Will be repaired according to the hire company).
I think if the technology is better, then this thing will be a lot of fun!
RaC: The noise development is due to the defective clutch, a component broke spontaneously, unfortunately we couldn't foresee that.
Everything went very smoothly and the contact persons were always very friendly, courteous and competent. The journey with Jaguar was a great experience!
