The journey is the destination, and the journey can be rocky and difficult. With cars, and especially with classic cars, you have to be aware that something unexpected can always happen. In my case, it was a very unpleasant thud or crack coming from the car that I couldn’t identify.

At this point, however, the support team at Rent a Classic really came into their own; they rang me back late in the evening shortly after my call and showed both understanding and a willingness to help with the situation.

If I may add one thing: I understand that the original condition should be preserved to offer the most authentic driving experience possible. Nevertheless, I would modernise the brakes, as the cars are driven very frequently. I’m sorry to say this, but Zora’s brakes are alarmingly weak.

RaC: Thank you very much for your feedback. The rear axle issue has already been resolved; the limited-slip differential was causing the noises. As for the brakes, we are indeed considering whether an upgrade is possible. Unfortunately, the legislation imposes relatively strict restrictions on us in this regard.
